Andrew Cherkasky is a former federal prosecutor and military veteran turned high profile criminal defense and civil trial lawyer. With nearly two decades of experience, he has litigated over 100 complex federal criminal jury trials, and represented thousands more dealing with a wide range of Constitutional, civil law, and military/government matters.
Andrew is recognized as one of the most elite trial lawyers in America. He is a well-known national legal and political commentator who regularly appears on Fox News, CNN, and other major networks. He has also contributed national editorials for The USA Today, The Hill, and the New York Post.
Before beginning his own practice, Andrew was a decorated senior military prosecutor. He began his career as a uniformed officer in the United States Air Force as a JAG, serving a total of six years in prestigious positions. He graduated at the top of his JAG training class by winning the prestigious award for best litigator.
Andrew has prosecuted and defended cases involving allegations of violations of national defense laws, such as mishandling of classified records, and many other military specific offenses. In addition, his cases have included allegations such as: capital and non-capital murder, arson, gang related violence, war crimes, complex drug rings, multi-million-dollar financial crime, federal finance crime, and complex fraud.
As a legal entrepreneur, he created a global law firm that began in a one room office, and has expanded to a multi-state, multi-million-dollar, multi-discipline firm with divisions that handle criminal defense, military justice, personal injury and medical malpractice, and civil rights lawsuits against the federal government.
